Oh yea, opening it up to other GMs would be great too! For that, I'd just hand over the adventure poll and running the session to another GM but still probably oversee the rest of the between-session admin. Report back if you make it happen!
Thanks for the shout out! I can confirm your 7 Step Plan to Regularly Playing TTRPGs works, haha, that's pretty much how I've been doing the Outer Rim Marches campaign (but over Discord).
Yea, it's totally player-driven (other than what I'm choosing to place on the Adventure Board between sessions) while also not requiring a big player time investment. It's working well! After just a few sessions, we had a really thick web of factions all in their various positions of power based on what the players have chosen to approach and what they did during the sessions.
I love the open table idea, I would love to implement something like this back home.
My more ambitious plan is to do something like this but giving space to others for GMing.
