Hey folks, it’s another project-filled Zine Month around these parts of the TTRPG-iverse. Two new projects I am involved with just went live on Kickstarter today, plus Greenhorns is about to wrap up its successful campaign and Tacticians of Ahm’s first monthly update is going live later this week (so your last chance to grab the game at its lowest price)! Check ‘em out! - Christian
One year ago the Rift opened and the Kaiju attacked. It tore our cities apart, rampaging for days until we finally dropped the bomb. We killed the terrifying beast, but lost so much in the process.
We knew more would come so we built the Mechs: giant war machines, the pinnacle of human engineering, and our only hope for survival.
The Rift is reopening. It won't be long before the Kaiju emerge, but this time will be different.
Your home depends on you. Are you ready, Pilot?
I'm editing this one! With HOME, Nick has created a game with real heart, a strong visual style, and an easy to play structure on top of a killer premise! Beyond that, Nick is very structured in his project planning, the game is already text complete, and the visual design and layout is looking extremely sharp. Check it out HERE!
The Shrike, a huge (by my standards anyway) setting and adventure book for Old School Essentials, by Leo Hunt is live on Kickstarter now! This was my largest editing project so far, and it really is an awesome book! You may know Leo’s other work from the phenomenal Vaults of Vaarn.
The Shrike, is a heaven-harrowing thorn, a black iron mountain with serrated spires of rock and rust, that pierces the heart of the God, causing divine blood to flow and nourish life within the corroded iron and stone megastructure.
The Shrike is a world of decay - rusted iron, crumbling stone, saltwater, blood, and fog - surrounded by a roiling ocean, a lifeless archipelago, pewter-hued clouds, seabirds, and pitiless stars. In this infernal Galapagos, players will encounter masked Devils, blood which gives life to things which should not have it, stones which give life to people who do not want it, terrible and stranded monsters, perilous locations, and wonderous treasures from across the planes.
There’s so much weird, wild, dark, strange, and evocative stuff in this book, and the wonderful thing is it’s already written and edited in its entirety! Plus, it’s being published by Joel Hines’ Silverarm Press so you can expect the same level of quality as Silverarm’s other projects (like Desert Moon of Karth and Secret of the Black Crag). Check it out HERE!
Monthly Update #1 for Tacticians of Ahm is coming later this week! To celebrate, here's a new piece of full-page art from Helena Santana! Leukon of the Flaming Sword and his companions look out from the shore of the Forgotten North towards D4RKW3LL, the source of the Corrupt1on.

Helena’s art, the new adventure, and more was created entirely thanks to the support Tacticians of Ahm has already seen, and I've still got loads more planned! You can still pick the game up now for it’s lowest price of just $15 USD and get all future updates! After Monthly Update #1 drops on February 16th, the price is going up to $20 USD! Check it out HERE!
Greenhorns, Spicy Tuna RPG’s weird space RPG, is nearing the final 48 hours of its successful campaign on Kickstarter! I am writing the starting Bounty Hunt adventure for the main book, and I’m so excited for it. This system is rules-lite, fast, and (most importantly) weird. Plus, the art is absolutely gorgeous.
Greenhorns is a roleplaying game where you play as powerful Kruxians bringing new life into the cosmos and protecting your home planet from rogue vengeful anomalies. Beware! It's a pretty dangerous job. After all, there's a reason you're all greenhorns.
Planet creation missions feel like dungeon diving. Bounty hunting missions challenge the crew to topple enemy schemes and eliminate lethal adversaries. And Kruxor, the crew's home planet, is an everchanging sandbox location that provides prominent factions and opportunities for developing your characters.
If you haven’t backed of any of Marco’s projects over at Spicy Tuna RPG, I really recommend it. The fit and finish of the physical products are always top notch. Check it out HERE!
See you later this month for your regularly scheduled Missive! - Christian
The Shrike sounds interesting.... But if the Shrike adventure setting is already written and edited, do you know why the PDF delivery is in September?? That is 9 months. I would expect more like April or May.
